“Historical Promiscuities – Works by Adam Nathaniel Furman” is a solo exhibition by Adam Nathaniel Furman, bringing a selection of the young English designer/ artist’s works to Milan on the occasion of 2018 Design Week.
Under the curatorship of Luca Molinari, the exhibition displays Kallisto, Kalliope & Kallistrate and – a set of five big iconic ceramic pieces, developed in a limited edition for Bitossi, and several pieces from “The Roman Singularity” series now part of Sir John Soane’s Museum collection, as well as drawings, prints and videos made by Adam Nathaniel Furman.
The joyful and promiscuous appropriation of history by Furman is hosted at Vudafieri-Saverino Partners office, where Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino have created an eclectic workplace inhabited by many artistic references. Together with Luca Molinari the atelier of the Milanese design firm is reinvented with a new and intriguing storyline to welcome Furman’s vision and hunger for a living history.
The venue provides a setting full of contaminations, styles and references, a perfect framework for Adam Nathaniel Furnam’s works and peculiar pop style which have rapidly garnered the international acclaim of both the public and critics.
